The ten stories that follow started their life simply as an entertainment for my elderly mother. When I was a child, however much I pleaded with my parents, they wouldn’t let me have a dog, there was always a plausible excuse. Their mantra at the time was, ‘when you get married
and have a home of your own you can have as many dogs
as you like, I’m sure that they didn’t think for one second, that I would have so many. As it turned out they loved all of my dogs and took pleasure in their company.
These stories have been written, first of all with my elderly mother in mind and secondly for anyone who wants a nice gentle read with a little bit of humour thrown in and who loves dogs. I hope you enjoy reading them, as much as I have enjoyed writing them. Patricia. x
