As the title suggests, this selection of short stories covers a variety of topical issues, many of which touch most of our lives. Christophe Little considers such matters as neighbourhood noise, hard-sell techniques, lack of community spirit and childhood memories, among others. The author draws upon his own life experiences as a means of investigating various aspects of modern-day living and discusses his own impressions and views in relation to these reflections. Throughout, his comments are informed by his interest in philosophy and Christian beliefs. This is a thought provoking book, especially given that many of us may have found ourselves in similar situations from time to time. The reader is invited to question many of the stereotypical pre-conceptions of those around us, to which we are all in danger of falling prey.
